After 26, can i still be covered by my parents health insurance?

You can continue to be covered by your parents' insurance policy until you are 26 years old if it is a group plan or an individual plan that includes dependent coverage. This is especially true for young people with relatively low-incomes, who may qualify for a Medicaid premium-free plan or a premium subvention through the exchange.

However, if your parents' employer offers a plan that is grandfathered and does not require you to be covered under the parent's coverage, you cannot remain on the policy after age 26. You should speak to your parents if they offer a plan which requires you to remain covered by their coverage.
